Today, Nov. 2, would have been my dad’s 83rd birthday.
I dug up this photo from a box of slides my mom gave me some time ago. I think it was taken in 1963 and it appears he’s standing atop what looks to be a pahoehoe lava flow. So I’m guessing it was taken in Hawaii.
Such daring!

i don’t remember seeing this picture before it takes my breath away to view it his shoes are shined and the military creases ironed in place in his uniform so like him thank you
