The Pueblo Derby Devil Dollz are a tough bunch of ladies from the Steel City who like to knock it around Saturday nights competing in the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association. In spite of the theatrically stylish fishnet stockings and short shorts, they skate and hit hard. They’ve got the tattoos and bruises to prove it. Said 24-year-old Kenna Snarich, who owns a hair salon and skates for the Dollz under the alias of Britney Shears: “Sometimes you just want to nail somebody.”
I photographed the Dollz in studio as well as during one of their bouts in March, 2010 for The Pueblo Chieftain. Navigating this gallery can be done one of two ways.
